Walking Together TOP programme (Stage 1) focuses on developing the foundations of Therapeutic Parenting.
The aims of the programme are to help enhance the relationships and positive attachments between family members; helping parents to support their children to build trust and security as a way to reduce difficulties and stress. Through the programme, parents will gain understanding of the key theories linked to child development, increase their understanding of what lies underneath their child’s behaviour and develop confidence and skill in therapeutic parenting.

Walking Together TOP programme (Stage 2) focuses on supporting parent/carers in helping children make sense of their early history, trauma, and loss.
This programme is an experiential process which is moving and transformative, enabling parents to gain confidence and skills in how talk to children about their life history. This is based on the belief that parent/carers are the best placed people in the child’s life to share challenging information with them and offer healing. This programme is about helping parents discover a new way of being and interacting with their child.
